Projects :: February One

"We are going to do something tomorrow. We're going to shake the world."
On February 1, 1960, four young freshmen at North Carolina A&T University stood up for the rights of all Americans, when they sat down at a Woolworth's lunch counter in Greensboro.
The Film February One will tell the story of how that simple act of courage helped ignite the Civil Rights sit-in movement of the Sixties.
See the Greensboro news and record website for stories and audio clips on the sit-in.
February One premiered on February 1, 2003 in Greensboro, NC, on the campus of North Carolina A&T University, the black college where the principal protestors were students at the time.
February One has been the Award Winner at the RiverRun Film Festival and the Global Peace Film Festival.
February One - The Story of the Greensboro Four premiered on the award winning PBS Series Independent Lens on February 1, 2005.
